If you are a device or firmware maker, we would be happy to work with you to make DinoReader or Readino available to your users. This can be as simple as recommending DinoReader to existing customers, or as deep as integrating Readino into your own reading software.
Both DinoReader and Readino are made by the FBReader team. DinoReader is an ebook reader designed for e-ink devices; Readino is a legal ebook store offering titles you would find in a high-street bookshop. Books purchased from Readino are protected with Readium LCP DRM.
The catalogue currently contains English-language books and is available to customers in the UK, US and Australia. We plan to expand to more markets and languages. If you have specific requirements, please ask us.
Make DinoReader available to your users
The simplest option is to recommend DinoReader to your users. You can include it in your app catalogue, link to it from your website or customer materials, or pre-install it on your devices.
DinoReader is more than just another ebook reader: it brings a large selection of books directly to your customers.
You do not need to ask for our permission. Anyone may distribute the unmodified DinoReader application, whether pre-installed on a device, through an app catalogue, or by any other means. If you need written confirmation or other legal documentation, we can provide it.
A customised DinoReader for your device
We can prepare a version of DinoReader specifically for your device.
Customisation can be as simple as changing the application icon or making a few interface adjustments to follow your platform guidelines. If your platform provides an API for improving e-ink screen rendering, we can integrate it into the build. We can also integrate services built into your device, such as its dictionary or other platform-specific features.
We can give your version a unique partner identifier. This lets us attribute Readino purchases originating from your devices, and we can offer you a share of the resulting revenue.
Your own branded reader based on DinoReader
For deeper integration, we can develop your own product based on DinoReader. This can include full rebranding, substantial interface changes, integration with additional catalogues, or other device-specific functionality.

Add Readino to your own reader
You do not have to use DinoReader to offer Readino books.
Readino is built around open standards. You can integrate the catalogue into your own software, whether it is written from scratch or based on another reader. The reader must support OPDS and Readium LCP. If either is not supported yet, talk to us. We may be able to help with the integration.
We are happy to discuss revenue sharing when your customers buy books from Readino.
Other platforms
DinoReader is currently available for Android e-ink devices, but Android is not the end of the story.
We are testing a Qt Quick version of DinoReader, and experimenting with a build for a small ESP32-based e-ink reader.
If you are interested in DinoReader or Readino for another e-ink platform, or even for a non-e-ink device, ask us. We may already have an option for you, or your device may be a good reason for us to build one.
